Client Requirements:
To create an exhibit experience that allowed the visitor to do a live mix of the original audio tracks of a Shania Twain recording.

Visitor Experience:
The visitor selects a song and uses the faders on a real mixing console to mix the volume levels of the various tracks. The visitor can compare their mix to the official release mix.

Mystus Expertise:
A computer is used to play back the individual tracks. This allows for quick selection amongst several choices, instant start and restart, low maintenance since no tape is involved, and the creation of an intuitive touch screen user interface.

Unique Features:
Simultaneous multitrack (12 channels) of audio playback. Visitor selected presentation language - English or French.

Exhibit: Vocal Testing

Client Requirements:
To create an exhibit experience that allowed the visitor to test their vocal skills by recording themselves, and comparing their recording to the Shania Twain samples.

Visitor Experience:
The visitor uses the touch screen to select various activities. They can hear the samples or record themselves singing. They are presented with several challenges including singing high, singing low, sing in tune and holding a note. At the end they get to sing along with Shania.

Mystus Expertise:
Mystus drew upon its deep multimedia programming skills to create a system with an intuitive user interface and the capacity for live recording and playback. All graphics were created in house with an eye to not just pleasing appearance but also intuitive interaction.
