Production design and display solutions
Venue: Brant County Museum
Location: Brantford, Ontario
Date: Summer, 2002
Visitor
Experience:
The Brant County Museum is an example of how Mystus translates
world-class experience into innovations for institutions
with a small budget. Brant was a unique project for Mystus
because it was essentially a design, rather than hardware/software,
based product. From original concept to detailed production
designs, Mystus provided a variety of low-cost display
solutions to showcase Brant's distinctive cultural heritage.
We conceptualized an elegant, yet practical display unit
with five different activities. These include an interactive
and updateable quiz, tethered artifacts that visitors
can handle and static graphic panels. The display is designed
to allow the museum to update display contents over time
as their collection and resources expand. This project
is a great example of creative low-cost solutions that
don't sacrifice the user experience.
