Sun Energy
This
exhibit along together with Wind Energy show the physics
of two popular alternative energy sources. Sun Energy
models day-night and seasonal solar energy at several
points on the globe. Visitors can see why we get winter
- it's not because the earth is further away from
the sun then, and why summer days are longer, and
why the arctic regions are the land of the midnight
sun. In Wind Energy we allow the visitor to discover
how the pitch and diameter of a windmill turbine is
related to how much energy we can get from the wind
and how little wind is required to drive the turbine.
These are great examples of the mechanical genius
we bring to our exhibit development.
